“For The People”

About

I was raised in rural farming communities of south-central Minnesota, with solid foundations of Faith in and accountability to our Creator for my actions.  I learned that to accomplish things worth doing requires hard work.

The outdoors  i.e. working summers on an uncle’s/aunt’s farm, hunting are things I always enjoyed.

I’m the 2nd of 3 children to parents who were involved in the community and scouts. Both my parents served as active duty officers in the U.S. Army in WW2 Europe (Dad in the North Atlantic & Mediterranean Sea… Mother as a RN Anesthetist in England D-Day and into France with her hospital). Thus, I learned that service to our country can be difficult and requires sacrifice. It is an honor to serve.

After graduating from high school in 1973, I enlisted for active duty in the U.S. Army and served 1973-76. I received advanced training as a Radiologic Technologist at the Academy of Health Sciences, Ft. Sam Houston, TX, then worked at Letterman Army Medical Center.  From those experiences, I learned to listen carefully to Doctors and professional staff to provide the best patient care.

While in the Army I met my future wife, Mary Lou. The Lord us blessed with this wonderful life together… Through times of joy and pain, He has never left us.
